Course Content Summary
If you enroll to be certified and designated as a Certified
Environmental Hygienist, Ecology College Online (and/or your in person
instruction from Phillip Fry in Arizona) will make you very proficient
and expert in environmental inspection, testing, remediation, and
prevention for: (1) toxic mold infestations such as the black toxic
mold Stachybotrys,
Aspergillus,
and
Penicillium; (2) household mold contamination (any mold species
in elevated levels indoors endangers
occupant health according to the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency); (3) bacterial contamination (such as e.coli bacteria); (4)
allergens (such as
dust mites, cat and dog skin and fur, and cockroaches); (5)
radon gas (causes as much lung cancer annually as does
cigarette smoking); (6) sixty-two dangerous volatile organic compounds
(VOC); (7)
lead in drinking water (especially well water); and (8) lead in
paint (such as on children's toys, and wall, floor, and ceiling
paint).
